Speaking about this latest announcement, Hamers said,
“We have 25,000 employees alone in the U.S. and thousands more in Singapore and Hong Kong, and every country has a different legal framework around what you can and can’t make mandatory”
As plans to return to the office were derailed by the onset of the delta variant, the USB Group has now decided to adopt a hybrid work approach for all its global employees.
The firm will now allow at least two-thirds of its employees to mix work from home and office.
About this new change, Hamer commented saying,
"The pandemic has delivered solutions to manage the risk of carrying the virus and passing it to your colleagues, and that is to work from home.”
Still major tech companies as well as Wall Street are continuously making efforts to bring people back to the office. But even then only vaccinated employees will be allowed to enter and work at the premises.
